FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is LuminMinds free?
Yes. Every model is free to build.
Why do I need to sign in?
Signing in with Google gives you an account, so your builds and progress belong to you rather than to one browser. We only receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google.
Do I need to install anything?
No. LuminMinds runs in any up-to-date browser with 3D graphics (WebGL): Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox, on computers, tablets and most phones.
How do I play?
Pick a model, then drag each part to where it belongs, stage by stage. Parts keep their orientation, so you need to know the object, not just match a shape. Turn the model by dragging empty space, and zoom with a pinch or the mouse wheel.
What do easy, medium and hard mean?
Easy builds have fewer, distinct parts and a clear order. Medium builds have more parts and some look-alikes. Hard builds have many similar parts in tight spaces.
Are the models accurate?
They are built from reference material and every part has a note checked for accuracy. Some sizes are changed so small parts can be seen, for example the LED bulb is shown nine times life size; the notes say so.
Can I use LuminMinds in a classroom?
Yes. It needs no installation and each model is split into stages that fit a lesson. Contact us if you would like help using it with a class.
How do I delete my account?
Send us a message from the contact page using the email address you signed in with, and we will delete your account and its data.
